Most of us live our lives complaining about and blaming others, the government, the tax man, our employers, etc… for the way our life looks. But the simple fact is we Create our Reality by the thoughts we think.
Thoughts Create Beliefs
Thoughts we keep thinking turn into beliefs that we keep living over and over. Most of the time we aren’t even aware of what we are thinking.
The Law of Attraction states That which is like unto itself, is drawn – The Law of Attraction Esther and Jerry Hicks.
This Law affects all things. Just like the saying “Birds of a feather flock together”
The concept refers to what we focus on we get more off. That includes negative thoughts/actions.
Have you ever experienced a day when as soon as you sleep through your alarm and you get out of bed in a bad mood, all day everything seems to go wrong! This is the Law of Attraction in action.
Thoughts are energy in motion. The thought of being late for work is the energy you have sent out into the universe and it is vibrating at a unique frequency and it finds another experience that is a match and the cycle continues.
Thoughts are mostly products of our subconscious mind that are on autopilot. These thoughts can also be enforced by our beliefs that are held in place to keep us safe and to protect us.
A Belief is just a thought or story that we keep thinking on repeat and our mind has accepted it as truth because there is an emotion or feeling that keeps the belief alive.
The subconscious mind makes up 95% of what we believe and is basically directing our life. Beliefs are hardwired into our subconscious mind from birth, From the ages of 0-7 our minds are like sponges that absorb what we hear and see and we may take on board the belief, positive or negative.
The conscious mind, what we are aware of, only makes up 5% of our beliefs so you can see how important it is to become aware of and clear beliefs that no longer serve us.
Beliefs can also be passed down to us from our ancestors and family conditioning or cultural consciousness.
The good news is that it’s completely possible to rewire your thoughts and beliefs and create a NEW reality.
There are many techniques you can use. Working with a specialized practitioner can speed up your results OR you can follow the simple 4-step process below:
- The first step is AWARENESS. Where in your life can you notice a pattern that keeps repeating? By catching out this pattern or belief you can CHOOSE to shift the old story.
- 2. Ask yourself this question “Is this really what I believe?” Don’t filter or think about the answer. Your first thought is correct.
- Ask yourself “How is this belief serving me?” Once again, your first thought will usually be correct
- Create a NEW belief.
It sounds simple enough BUT it requires dedication and practice to catch that negative thought and start creating positive ones.
